PLANER HORSA
The Horsa was manufactured by the Airspeed Company, and only one example remains.
Did you know that gliders were used extensively during the Second World War? And in particular, the most exploited of them: the Horsa, manufactured at the time by the Airspeed company. Today, there is only one example of this aircraft left, which is carefully preserved in the Middle Wallop Museum in England. For the 60th anniversary of D-Day, a life-size replica was built and displayed in the Pegasus Memorial Park. Fragments of the original aircraft, collected by collectors, can be seen inside the museum.
