A corner of paradise from which one rarely leaves disappointed. This former bottle warehouse has quickly become a restaurant appreciated by all thanks to its excellent cuisine and picturesque setting. For the record, the comic book author Hugo Pratt was one of the regulars. The menu follows the market arrivals and, after hot and cold sea antipasti and fresh homemade pasta, you can't resist the sabayon cream with its little cookies. Our server Igor was amazing - helpful with the menu, selected perfect wines for our meal & very attentive.
The stars of the meal was the classic spaghetti vongole & goat blue cheese dessert (my first blue goat's cheese!). That dessert was so interesting and delicious - like a cheesecake meets custard with a crumble bottom. Very memorable. The vongole was perfectly cooked with a bit of herbs.
We also had the fish of the day (sea bream filet) which came with delicious veggies and tuna venetian style (with onions). These were both also cooked very well.
Many patrons were local Venetians which I liked. Ambience was very simple. Would definitely come back.
