François Mitterrand had his habits in this fish restaurant bordering the sublime Giudecca canal.
Since 1902, the house is an institution! It is an excellent address (it was one of the favorite canteens of François Mitterrand in Venice). The latter probably appreciated the fresh fish specialties offered in the kitchen. Inside, an elegant and discreet decoration. Attentive staff and warm welcome. The name Altanella comes from the presence of an altana (Venetian terrace) on the roof of the building where the restaurant is located. A kind of rooftop, with a breathtaking view of the sublime Giudecca Canal!
