"No pizzas, no lasagnas, no tourist menus". The sign on the door announces the color right away... Not far from the Pescheria but off the beaten track, this restaurant claims to be different and functions above all by word of mouth. It is very popular with Venetians who like to meet there on Saturday evenings to enjoy a traditional cuisine made with fish and vegetables from the lagoon and its estuary. The interior of the trattoria is sober, with wooden chairs and white cotton tablecloths. Notice to the gourmets.

Dîner à deux avec Madame. Service pro et discret dans une salle de style ancien, accueillante mais un peu bruyante (les tables sont un peu serrées mais bon, c'est la rançon du succès). Les plats sont excellents et le vin peut être commandé au verre. Compter 70/80 € par personne pour deux plats (primo e secondo), le dessert et le verre de vin. Nous recommandons vivement ! Réservation fortement conseillée (la salle était pleine à 20h !).

A real authentic trattoria with good fresh ingredients, simply prepared but tasty. Nice wine list. Friendly service. Great place!

The Restaurant is not the biggest in Venice and the seating is tight but cosy. Immediately on sitting down the diners on our left a nice couple from Turin filled our glasses with an tasty Soave Classico, what a nice gesture.
We were looked after by a very professional lady who spoke excellent English and her recommendations on both food and wine were perfect.
This is the type of restaurant you want to “find” when you are on vacation, and it fits the bill in all respects. I have no hesitation in recommending it very highly to you. Book well in advance as it was very busy.
PS – we did reciprocate a modest Valpolicella with our friends from Turin!
