Much more than a youth hostel, here is a colourful and warm place to meet people or just to sip a drink.

Former grain warehouses converted into a youth hostel 65 years ago. Design decor and cosy interiors for a "hostel" renovated in 2013, which has established itself as one of the most pleasant and trendy in Veneto. To sleep in one of its pretty dormitories or double rooms, you'll need a youth hostel card (which you can buy on site). Happy hour from 6.30pm to 8.30pm in the bar area. Shared breakfast on rustic tables. Book well in advance, as the Generator attracts backpackers from all over the world.

The hostel itself hosts a club on the ground floor and blasts music until 2am which you can hear loud and clear from your room. Couldn’t sleep for a second. Horrible experience. Staff are very friendly but the business model is horrid

Ottima location. Economico e di buon gusto. Buona gestione complessiva. Da migliorare il bar e il personale da banco.

You have to pay to leave your luggage with them in lockers out in the lobby. We stayed at 22 hostel across Europe and this is the 2/22 that charged. Just don’t give them your money. I wish I dug more into reviews before booking. People have posted the mold in the bathrooms and sure enough it was identical when I arrived.

The top reason I’m reviewing is the bathroom situation so I don’t want that to get lost. The showers flooded within 30seconds of having the water on. Staph infections waiting to happen. Thankful I brought shoes but still even then I was fully underwater. It flooded out until the bathroom itself and made it a muddy mess for anyone who simply just wanted to go to the bathroom quickly. The mold on the ceilings and grout is revolting and obvious. If you have mold issues like that at least attempt to improve the situation or warn patrons. All around bathroom situation needs major attention.
Soap machine was broken made a mess everywhere. I spent very little time in there needless to say. I had to shower in under two min unless I wanted to stand in the muck from the clogged drain around my feet. You can imagine the weird murky water. Plus after being in 90degree weather you just want to feel cool and clean. Needless to say do not expect that here ever.

Nothing good to say about attention to cleanliness. Concern for safety of our sleeping bodies available for anyone who wanted to come into our room.

Room was clean. It held 16people. The ac was non existent which yes it’s June and a hostel but still 16people all sweating it was bad. The unit have so much mildew and dust in them I’m sure that is one of the reasons.

The door key card was not useful because our door remained unlocked the entire stay even after we alerted staff. That was frustrating.

The only nice part of the whole place is the lobby. Didn’t use it though simply because I didn’t want to give them anymore of my money and needed to cool off outside.

I am woman and used that bathroom but verified with my brother that his situation wasn’t any different. Maybe less flooding because of less long hair clogging issues but gross.

Horrible experience. Had to take a ferry to get there (35 euros to buy a 48 hour lasting card). When I arrived there I wasn't allowed to check in, because she refused my digital copy of my passport (this has never been an issue before). My drivers license and health card were also not accepted. Really rude staff who did not care about sending an alone 20 year old woman away to sleep on the street. I also wasn't allowed to get my money back for the hostel so I paid for nothing!!
