Hotel located a few steps from Piazza San Marco and the Chiesa San Moise that offers rooms with all the necessary comforts.

The Saturnia is an institution in Venice! Located near St. Mark's Square, recognizable by its orange façade, this 4-star hotel has been managed by the Serandrei family since 1908. Its 90 rooms and suites are tastefully decorated and offer first-class comfort (bathrooms with bath and shower, minibar, flat-screen TV, wifi). The hotel also has a spa and a rooftop terrace with a dream view of the historic district. One more word: the bar of the establishment was frequented by Simone de Beauvoir and Jean-Paul Sartre.

The most amazing hotel experience we’ve ever had. My husband and I just stayed there for our honeymoon and I mentioned my dream was to have a room overlooking a canal and they delivered! We were in the most stunning, massive room I’ve ever stayed in. I felt like a princess with the canopy bed, antique furniture, painted ceiling, glass chandelier, full sized closet, huge bathroom with standalone tub, and two huge windows overlooking a small canal. The building itself is a 14th century palace and I felt that in every corner of the hotel. As historic as it is, it is also incredibly well maintained and modern where you need it to be. The staff was the most attentive we had in the 3 hotels we stayed at in Italy. The communication was excellent from the start. I reached out to the hotel directly before booking and they were super helpful and allowed me to book direct for a better price than I was finding elsewhere. Before arriving they gave suggestions on how to get to and from the hotel and we ended up booking a private water taxi when we had to get to the airport for a 6:45 am international flight. The bed was too firm for me but they kindly added a mattress topper which helped a ton! The attached bar is great and I had a delicious & fresh margarita there. On our last night we grabbed 2 glasses of wine from there and took them up to the rooftop terrace. This provided a stunning view of the sunset over the city. The breakfast at the hotel was leagues above the other hotels we stayed at. Such a huge selection and servers bringing made to order coffees. As a vegetarian, I especially loved the spinach quiche that allowed me to start the day with some protein rather than just pastries which is the typical Italian breakfast. They knew we were leaving at 3 am and even offered to put together a to go breakfast box for us. The location of the hotel is in a very ritzy area surrounded by high end shopping and 5 mins to St. Mark’s Square. This hotel truly felt like a 5 star hotel. We stayed at 4 star hotels in Rome & Florence as well and this hotel put them to shame. I will recommend it to everyone visiting Venice.

Some things to note:
-If you’re arriving by train, take line 1 on the public water bus to the Giglio stop. It’s just a brief walk to the hotel but you do need to go over a small bridge so you will need to lift your luggage.
-Private water taxi is crazy expensive, however, if you need to leave in the middle of the night on no sleep I thinks it’s worth it. The hotel handles everything, you just give them the cash. Also, really cool experience to take the private taxi through Venice in the middle of the night. If you do go this route and have a 6:45 am flight, wait to leave the hotel until 4:00 am. We left at 3 am, got to the airport around 3:35, and couldn’t even check in until around 4:30. Get the extra hour of sleep!
-bring ear plugs. Around 5 am you’ll start to hear people in the canals doing their jobs.

Tutto perfetto! Location, camera, pulizia, servizio 10/10.
