A legendary festival, the oldest in the world. Since 1932, its red carpet has been graced by the greatest stars of the seventh art. The Mostra del Cinema takes place every September on the Lido, in the historic Palazzo del Cinema. For ten days, the island is transformed into the center of the world, in anticipation of the award of the famous Golden Lion to the best productions. There are numerous screenings and presentations open to the general public with the purchase of a single ticket. A list is available from the tourist office or online.
