A merciless race between men dressed as Befana (a witch who brings gifts to children on the night of January 6th).
The most incredible local regatta takes place every year on Epiphany Day. Men dressed as befane (witches who bring sweets or coal to children in Italy) compete in a merciless race along the Grand Canal. This traditional sporting event is organized by the Reale Società Canottieri Bucintoro 1882. It begins in the morning at 8:30 am with the coating of costumes to end at noon with the crowning of the most beautiful befana. All this with a musical background.
