CHIESA DI SAN ZULIAN
Church of late Renaissance style with a remarkable statue in Venice.
Founded in the 9th century, this church was built by Sansovino in the late Renaissance style. The façade features a statue of Tommaso Rangone, the wealthy doctor who financed the construction, surrounded by celestial globes and books. Its square floor plan opens onto a choir and two side chapels. The central panel of the ceiling was decorated by Palma il Giovane, depicting the Glory of St. Julian in the center of the vault, as well as the Assumption. Above the first altar on the right, you can also admire a work by Veronese: The Dead Christ with Angels.
