CHIESA DI SAN MOISÈ
Church of baroque style with a monumental sculpture in Venice.
The original church dates back to the 8th century. It was rebuilt in the 10th century by Moses Vernier, who dedicated it to his patron saint. The current Baroque façade was built in 1668 with donations from the Fini family, wealthy merchants who had bought their title of nobility. Inside, in the left-hand chapel, you can admire Palma il Giovane's Last Supper and Tintoretto's Washing of the Feet. In the choir, don't miss the astonishing monumental sculpture of a mountain, depicting Moses receiving the tablets of the Law.
