Church with a music school for abandoned children.
Founded in 1346, here were taken in by the Franciscans the abandoned children. They were accommodated in neighbouring dwellings donated by the Venetian nobility. Annexed to the church, the Hospital de la Pietà was known for this purpose as well as for the work of its chapel master Antonio Vivaldi, who taught there and directed its music school for thirty-seven years, between 1703 and 1740. The ceiling of the church is decorated with a fresco by Gianbattista Tiepolo, the Triumph of Faith.
