CHIESA DI SANTO STEFANO
Church with some beautiful paintings by Tintoretto but also the tomb of Giacomo Surian sculpted by Pietro Lombardo.
The church, founded in the 13th century and with its campanile leaning seriously, was rebuilt in the 14th century and underwent modifications in the 15th. The façade features a magnificent Gothic portal by Bartolomeo Bon. Inside, the inverted ship's hull ceiling is a work of art, featuring finely engraved beams and Verona marble columns. The sacristy houses works by Tintoretto, including The Last Supper and Prayer in the Olive Garden, as well as the tomb of Giacomo Surian, sculpted by Pietro Lombardo.
