GIARDINI NAPOLEONICI
Gardens with a beautiful view of the lagoon, one of the most peaceful places in Venice.
This is another peaceful place in Castello where you can enjoy one of the best views of the lagoon. These gardens are located in an old fishermen's and lace-makers' neighborhood. Created at the request of Emperor Napoleon I, they have become both a place to stroll and a popular spot for culture lovers, especially when the Biennale of Contemporary Art is held there. The main entrance to the gardens (Viale Trento) is guarded by a bronze statue of Giuseppe Garibaldi, hero of Italian unity.
