Important connection point between the northern lagoon islands and the center of Venice

A visit to Cannaregio would be incomplete without a stroll along the Fondamenta Nuove, to the north of the sestiere. Although a number of wealthy mansions were built here in the 17th century, these quays offer first and foremost a breathtaking view of the San Michele cemetery and the lagoon, while retaining their vocation as a commercial district, with warehouses and well-established trades. From these pontoons, you can embark for Murano and Burano. On the way there or back, don't hesitate to enjoy a drink on the terrace to take in the lively atmosphere on the quayside.

De ce quartier on peut prendre le ferry pour rejoindre les iles et l'aéroport. La vue depuis les quais est très belle et en général il n'y a pas trop de monde.

Une promenade agréable , loin de la foule de la place Saint Marc, quelques très belles églises dans les rues adjacentes. Vue sur la lagune et départ des vaporetti pour les îles.

Ce quai sur une partie moins touristique de Venise permet l'accès aux iles de la lagune et possède de belle vue sur l'île du cimetière surtout au coucher du soleil.
Vers le départ des bateaux il y a des restaurants avec vue sur la lagune.
