VILLA EMO
A jewel of Palladian architecture, this villa now houses a foundation and a conference center
This jewel of Palladian architecture now houses a foundation and a congress centre. A central body with an inclined plane and two lean-to buildings on the sides make the construction imposing. Its owner, Count Marco Emo, was a straight descendant of Lunardo, who in 1550 commissioned Palladio to build the villa, then commissioned Gian Battista Zelotti, known as the Venetian, to execute the frescoes. The English-style garden, decorated with a series of statues, belongs to another branch of the family, the Capodilista of Padua.
