PIAZZA GARIBALDI
A beautiful Renaissance-style square, with a remarkable cathedral, in the heart of the town of Isolo.
In the heart of the city, this pretty Renaissance-style square is dominated by the cathedral, one of the oldest in the region; an episcopal seat from 590, it has been redesigned several times over the centuries. In the center, the lion fountain of St. Mark stands out, while all around it are beautiful houses with arches, colonnades and windows of Gothic inspiration. The Palazzo della Loggia, with its frescoed façade attributed to Antonio Contarini, closes the southwest side of the square. Today it houses the municipal museum.
