The remains of the ancient city under Piazza del Duomo, promising pleasant discoveries in Feltre
Under the Piazza del Duomo, the remains of the ancient city extend over 1,000m2. They were made accessible to the public after excavations carried out in the 1970s. A walk through the ancient Feltria promises pleasant discoveries. It is difficult to recognize a tavern here, a shop there, and a patrician villa further on. However, one can admire the remains of the marble floors and the mosaics, as well as this road with perfectly aligned paving stones. Work has been started in the fall of 2022 to further enhance the site from this spring.
