CHIESA DI SAN LORENZO
Medieval church of Gothic style with a remarkable cycle of frescoes of the fifteenth century to Vittorio Veneto.
Near the San Lorenzo gate (Clock Tower), this church dates back to the Middle Ages, in Gothic style with a single nave. It was founded by the Confraternita of the Battuti, who also built an oratory. A remarkable cycle of 15th century frescoes adorns the interior. In 1797, the French troops of General Masséna, during a stopover in Serravalle, used the church as their canteen. The 15th century frescoes that decorated it were seriously damaged. In the years 1954-1955, the church and its frescoes were restored.
