CATTEDRALE SANTA MARIA ASSUNTA
Church of neoclassical style with two altarpieces and some paintings.
This neoclassical church was built in 1740 on the ruins of the 12th century Romanesque church destroyed by an earthquake. All that remains of the original church is a very beautiful campanile, which was a defensive tower in the Middle Ages and has been recovered and restored. The church houses two altarpieces by Jacopo da Valenza and some paintings by Tiepolo. Note its beautiful façade with Ionic columns and inside its painted wooden ceilings.
