CASTELLO DI SAN MARTINO
Ancient residence of the Lombard era restored and enlarged on the top of the hill.
On the top of a hill at 210 meters above sea level, after a climb that offers a splendid view of the surrounding countryside, the ancient residence of the Counts-Bishops of Vittorio Veneto awaits you. It was restored and enlarged in the 13th century by Bishop Correr, but it seems that its origins date back to the Lombard period (and perhaps even to the Roman period). The building remains the episcopal seat. It is distinguished above all by its high crenellated tower, its geminated windows and its central courtyard dating from the 15th century.
