CHIESA DI SANTO STEFANO
Church with a chapel with a carved altar and a beautiful crucifix from the 18th century.
Another beautiful religious building in the urban panorama of Belluno, Santo Stefano, is worth a stop. Built in 1486, the church bears in its architecture the last expressions of an evolving Gothic style. There is a beautiful 18th century crucifix by Andrea Brustolon and frescoes by Jacopo da Montagnana, a painter of the Venetian school who was very active in the 15th century and decorated the magnificent Cappella Cesa. In the same chapel, the sculpted altar (1500) is a small masterpiece, finely realized, featuring the Virgin and Child surrounded by saints.
