HOTEL DE LA POSTE
Hotel offering rooms in a unique mountain style, both refined and characteristic
The history of the Hotel de la Poste began in 1804, when it was primarily a place for socialites. Since then, the establishment has never ceased its activity. Until 1921, the adjoining post office used to cancel the letters of the Austro-Hungarian high society and the hotel was then used as a post house... hence its name since then. Nowadays, the telegraph's place is occupied by the restaurant's tables. As for the rooms, they are bright and spacious, doubling their warm character with a demanding comfort.

The ideal combination of comfort and style, without being too expensive.
Only two real drawbacks :
1) The mattresses are quite hard. That’s obviously a personal preference, but it was a bit annoying; and
2) for the last few days, a scientific breakfast conference was hosted in the hotel. This meant that the paying staying guests such as myself were evicted from the main breakfast room (which has beautiful Mountain Views), and put in a small annexe. This wasn’t fair, given that one of the main reasons for staying at the hotel is the beautiful views from the breakfast room, and we weren’t warned about this in advance.
But other than that, the hotel was great - we will return next year
