SOCIÉTÉ HIPPIQUE URBAINE DE CAEN (SHUC)

This equestrian centre is a pure haven of happiness for those who dream of riding on horseback. The little ones place their feet in the stirrups from their earliest age (from two years for baptism, learning from three, and courses starting at five years). Later, more serious things start with riding classes on higher mounts. Basic acquisition, horse riding, passing exams. The most passionate engage in competitions (dressage, show jumping, cross country) or other sports disciplines (horse-ball, vaulting, hacking, long reins...), led by high-level riders and instructors and a friendly team. And to ensure no one is left behind, since 2014, the facilities (health facilities, showers, changing rooms) and car parks have been developed, allowing for the creation of specialised sessions and courses for people with disabilities. These take place every Friday. To cater to everyone’s needs, there are also training and development courses organised during school holidays. Additionally, the SHUC is a place for boarding your horse, where it will be pampered and cared for meticulously by a team of professionals (groom, healer, veterinarian, farrier, certified dentist...).
