SAINT PANCRAS RENAISSANCE
An emblematic London hotel with its superb neo-gothic red brick architecture that welcomes you upon arrival.
Like the Saint Pancras station, the Saint Pancras hotel was renovated under the leadership of Marriott. More than £150 million has been spent to give it a new lease of life. A sublime testimony to neo-Gothic architecture, the establishment is a marvel of luxury. The ceilings are high, the windows offer majestic views. And we find all the modern comforts. Don't miss the magnificent staircase in the entrance hall, which is worth the price of the room alone....

Absolutely gorgeous and our waitress was lovely.
Always a pleasant experience at St Pancreas. Takes you back to days long ago. For a calm, stress free, peaceful location, great food, ambience, history and atmosphere, capturing a time gone by.....you can't beat it.
However, the infrastructure is extremely poor. I got stuck in the lift during my stay, and i was stuck for more than an hour. There was no emergency contact in the lift and i was stuck alone. The lift had a bell for emergencies, and i pressed it so that it rang for quite some time. No one came to help though. No one came through the telecom as well. Perhaps it would be useful to put an emergency contact to the front desk in the lift if they dont intend for the bell to be used. In the end, another hotel guest heard the ring and went to contact a hotel staff. Nevertheless, it took some time to find servicemen. While the servicemen were working on the lift to get it open, there was no update whatsoever, it was extremely anxiety inducing. Also, the lift jerked and dropped a little before it could get open. There was no warning, which was even more distressing.
I really wanted to like my stay here. Honestly, the building is beautiful and the staff are great. Even down to the cleaning staff, they were so so nice. But i guess their good service cant make up for the shortfall of how poorly maintained the place is.
Update: the staff told me that a manager would get back to me about this incident. I waited another 3 hrs and there was nothing. Then i headed down and the manager had just arrived. The manager (his name was Manuel) was really unempathetic. He said he had just arrived and the lift is working fine with no complaints from other guests. It was really unpleasant to have such a traumatic experience dismissed like that. There was no attempt on his end to understand what happened or how it felt. I’ve seen other reviews saying the service was bad, i guess i understand why now.
