Rooms are very basic, bar is basic but for central London location it can not be beat

Absolutely dreadful experience. Small, tired rooms that smell of the previous occupants, poorly maintained fittings and worn mattresses. The only good thing about this hotel is its location, but the price is far above the quality of the accommodation - avoid!

We stayed for a night in October. It’s the worst £243 I’ve ever spent.
Positives: The location is superb, in the heart of Soho, with a plethora of fantastic eateries on the doorstep. It’s a short walk to theatres too. I loved the compact design of the room and the shower was particularly good. The staff were brilliant and so helpful.
Negatives:
Our room was a trek to the third floor (I walk with a stick and requested a room with easy access). There is a lift, and an outdoor spiral staircase, which was not an option when pouring with rain. The bed was rock hard, the duvet ridiculously heavy and the room so hot, we were sweating (the AC wasn’t working, which appears to be its default state). I had also requested a quiet room. It turned out the Queen rooms are on the noisiest side of the hotel, according to the receptionist (despite being pricier), with vehicles continually driving over loose, loud metal drain covers all night. There was also no wifi.
After zero hours sleep at 3:30am, I went down to reception to request a room change. They were incredibly helpful, understanding and apologetic (I got the impression they might be used to regularly apologising and offering complimentary breakfast and late check-out). We were moved to an accessible room, far more spacious, quieter and with a super-comfy bed and lovely, light duvet. However, the room had a tang of the drains and the window was sealed shut, which was particularly unpleasant and the air con wreaked of stale water.
We were offered a free breakfast, but, even with our late checkout, we ran out of time. We had to cut our London break short and travel home early, being thoroughly exhausted after only two hours sleep.
Never, ever again!

Hot chocolate tea and coffee in the rooms complimentary and the room was very clean! Bed super comfortable. We had a no windows room and which suited me as it was only to sleep and shower in.
Speaking of showers. The bathroom and shower hide no secrets so make sure you’re staying with someone you are comfortable with! I’d happily stay here again and the location is perfect to get to most of London!
Thank you
