THE MUSEUM OF OUR GRANDPARENTS' EVERYDAY LIFE
Museum installed in a farm, housing family objects, objects found at flea markets, and other garage sales.
What a good idea Magali and Christophe had! We already loved their guest room, we love the museum installed in their home made up of family objects, objects collected from shops and other empty spaces, or from donations. In this world of odds and ends, we distinguish the craft space with beautiful pieces of shoemaking and the tools of a saddler. Everyday objects: bath, bedding, photos, and a huge collection of aluminium articles (846 in all!) dating from 1920-1930. Some venerable items held the visit: a spinning wheel of 1870, a double stroller of 1890. A toy space will surprise the children of today with its bowling games, sewing machine, cubes… In all this, we will first remember the passion with which Magali talks about her duty of transmission and memory…
