In Sedlec, a small chapel is decorated with a unique material: human bones. Thousands of clavicles, tibias, femurs, skulls, etc., are assembled in morbid compositions, meant to remind visitors of the ephemeral nature of life and the vanity of the human body. These bones were used by monks and came from the victims of a plague epidemic and the Hussite wars, piled up in mass graves next to the church.

To get to the ossuary, go down well to stop from train Kutna Hora Sedlec otherwise the journey is long. From this station, there is a most 200m to the ossuary. In 2014, the entrance 90CZK cost. The interior is really impressive and not shocking. In some niches of the pyramids of bones as everything is written up. The space is quite small and the self-guided is fast. When there is world, the interior is always full. The upper chapel is quite classic and does not include ossement.
