MARIE JOLY'S TOMB
Marie Joly was a famous actress and member of the French Comedy in the eighteenth century. At 22, she fell in love with Captain Nicolas Fouquet-Dulomboy, who lived in the Poussendre mansion, set at the foot of Brèche au Diable. This place quickly became their favourite place for a walk. Unfortunately, at 38, Marie disappeared. Respecting her wish, Nicolas raised a wonderful tomb in the same place she loved, the banks of the cliff. To the North lies the Caen plain, while to the south, Falaise and its natural surroundings fill up the eyes of passers-by.
