The small island of San Servolo is an oasis of peace and serenity, far from the hustle and bustle of the world, just 10 minutes by vaporetto from St. Mark's Square. It features an accommodation center with very sober, impeccable, bright and spacious rooms (wifi, mini-fridge, kettle, TV, desk area, bathroom). The park, with its century-old trees, is superb. The island also features a restaurant, Robe da Matti, open daily from 12 to 3pm, and in the evenings in summer.

Never heard before. Wouldn't mind leaving the window open if there weren't all those blood sucking mosquitoes. The walls have blood marks from previous tenants. The flusher in the WC is working only when it wants. Low water pressure faulty plumbing? I don't know. I asked to change room. Was told it was fixed. I accepted it. It wasn't working a few hours later again. The whole room has 1 shuko socket that is not working. Unplugged the hairdryer in the bathroom to charge the laptop. Amenities basic at best. Stayed late June but bed was made with a thick winter blanket. Environment ok. But need to take a water taxi back and forth, not sure If it's worth the hassle unless you want to spend some time secluded on this island. Stay somewhere else at least during warm months.
