"Recluse Madness" is the title of this sad museum that traces the history of the psychiatric hospital of San Servolo, a former asylum that was active from the 18th century until 1978. A single room with a long display case showing straitjackets, chains and medicines used to "treat" the patients, followed by the autopsy room. A little more cheerful, during the course of the tour, we also admire an old pharmacy of the eighteenth century with its beautiful woodwork and over 200 ceramic vases. From here you can take the boat back to continue to San Lazzaro.
