CHIESA DELLA BEATA VERGINE DEL SOCCORSO
Church with octagonal plan with a beautiful collection of paintings of the Veneto of the XVII century, in Rovigo.
A religious building with an octagonal plan built between 1594 and 1613 by Francesco Zamberlan, a disciple of Palladio, this Marian church is also known as the Rotonda. Its tall, insulated bell tower is the work of Baldassare Longhena in 1655. Although the exterior is rather austere, the interior of the monument is similar to a selection of Venetian painting of the seventeenth century. Among others, we admire the paintings of Francesco Maffei and Giovanni Battista Pellizzari.
