Church with a neoclassical inspired façade and remarkable altarpieces in Porto Viro.
Built in 1726 by a wealthy Venetian family, the Contarini, the church of St. Bartholomew the Apostle was built to replace an older building destroyed by flooding. It has a neoclassical inspired facade, with a double row of superimposed Ionic pilasters. Among the decorative elements inside are various altarpieces on the life of St. Bartholomew, an organ by the artist Callido and an antique wooden statue by the sculptor Brustolon.
