CHIESA DI SANTA CATERINA
Church with precious frescoes of late Gothic style of the fourteenth century and those of the Stories of Saint Orsola in Treviso.
Built in 1346, the church was not completed until 1400. Deconsecrated under Napoleon, it was used as a military depot and suffered extensive damage. Bombed during the Second World War, precious 14th-century late-Gothic frescoes were discovered. The frescoes of the Histories of Saint Orsola by Tomaso da Modena, the masterpiece of the master and one of the most important pictorial cycles in Italian painting since the Giotto period, were also discovered.
