LOGGIA DEI CAVALIERI
One of the most characteristic monuments of the city of Treviso.
A 13th-century rectangular building used for patrician meetings and amusements (especially chess). Its style combines the Romanesque style of Treviso with the Byzantine reminiscences of Venice, creating a building as light as it is elegant. It is one of the city's most distinctive monuments. Rebuilt after the partial demolition caused by the bombardment of April 7, 1944, the Lodge originally featured numerous frescoes on its walls; it was later redecorated with floral and colorful elements.
