The vaulted room in the cellars of the Gastronomia il Ceppo, Vicenza's luxury grocery store, is impressive with its string of fine wines illuminated by subdued light. It houses a long table with about twenty seats. Regional products are the main feature of the lunches and tastings. You can choose from a menu of regional specialities à la carte, or tempting tasting courses, such as the one dedicated to baccalà (cod), available in all its forms (fried, marinated, creamed). Excellent wine list.

Locale molto carino e raffinato. Entrando in una bella gastronomia, si scende al piano interrato dove sono sistemati i tavoli tra un'ampia selezione di vini esposta alle pareti.
Il servizio è attento e ottimo. Santa, la responsabile di sala, ci ha guidati durante il pranzo presentando con grande competenza i piatti e i vini da abbinare. I bigoli al ragù d'anatra e il baccalà meritano veramente tanto. Ulteriore particolarità del bistrot è la possibilità di pranzare sopra dei resti della Vicenza romana.

We went in looking to buy something to take back to our families from our holiday. All the staff were really friendly and helpful and we came away with the best salami I have ever tasted.

Ottimo pranzo. I tortelli con la rapa molto buoni e il baccalà molto fresco e gustoso. Posto molto carino e prezzi giusti per un bistrot. Consigliato
