ALFA FIERA HOTEL * * * *
Vicenza is a city that offers many opportunities for meetings, especially at its many trade fair events. However, it would be simplistic to think of it solely as a business town, as it has many points of interest perfect for a weekend or leisure break. Piazza dei Signori is the city's living room, home to the Palladian basilica with its white loggias, a popular meeting place for Vicenza's residents. The Teatro Olimpico, inaugurated during the Carnival of 1585, is a masterpiece of classicism and the world's first example of a covered wooden theater. The Pinacoteca di Palazzo Chiericati, with its classical loggias, houses great artistic treasures such as works by Memling, Montagna, Veronese, Sansovino and Tiepolo. The Monte Berico sanctuary, perched on a hill, dominates the entire city and houses precious sacred relics and priceless works of art. Vicenza is also famous for its architectural heritage, with 23 palaces and 24 villas recognized by UNESCO.
