GIARDINI SALVI
Nice little park crossed by a canal, one of the favorite green spaces of the Vicentines.
This public garden along the canal is one of the favorite green spaces of the Vicentines. The neoclassical facade of the Loggia Valmarana can be seen here. Built at the end of the 16th century, this imposing structure, which stands on the water, illustrates the transposition of the Palladian style to the 19th century. It is a vision inspired by antiquity, a quest for ideal forms put at the service of an open-air theater. Another similar loggia, by Longhena, is installed at the other end of the park. The Giardini Salvi is also appreciated for its cleverly designed paths.
