GALLERY D'ITALIA - PALAZZO LEONI MONTANARI
Beautiful art collections in a beautiful 17th century palace in Vicenza.
The architecture of this seventeenth century palace moves away from the lesson of Palladio to that of the so-called "European Baroque". The palace is currently the headquarters of the art department of the Intesa San Paolo bank. Among the most beautiful signatures is a series of 14 paintings by Pietro Longhi. The top floor of the building is dedicated to a surprising collection of about 400 icons from the 13th to the 19th century, precious testimonies of Russian sacred art.
