DUOMO - CATTEDRALE
Cathedral presenting a variety of materials and styles where Romanesque and Gothic are mixed.
Built in 1187, Verona Cathedral harmoniously blends Romanesque and Gothic styles, particularly in its facade, which features a variety of materials. The majestic portal, the work of a 12th-century artist, and the finely decorated apse draw visitors' attention. The campanile, partly designed by Sanmicheli, was completed in the 20th century. Inside, Titian's Assumption (1530) adorns the high altar, while Nichelosa's funerary monument, sculpted by Jacopo Sansovino, stands to the left of the entrance.
