DUOMO - CATTEDRALE
Cathedral presenting a variety of materials and styles where Romanesque and Gothic are mixed.
Built in 1187, the facade of Verona Cathedral presents a variety of materials and styles where Romanesque and Gothic are mixed. The majestic portal is the work of a 12th-century artist. The finely decorated apse is also very interesting. The bell tower, part of which was built by Sanmicheli, was continued but not completed in the 20th century. Inside you can admire the Assumption of Titian (1530) on the high altar and, to the left of the entrance, the funerary monument of Nichelosa, by Jacopo Sansovino.
