CASTEL SAN PIETRO
Barracks with panoramic terrace offering an incredible view of the city.
Built in the 14th century and incorporated into the city walls in 1450, Napoleon's troops began demolishing it in 1801. In 1845, the Austrians converted what remained into barracks. Despite the building's current state of disrepair, the panoramic terrace offers incredible views over the city. To reach the terrace, take the Via Scalone Castello S.Pietro staircase. Just before reaching the top, stop off in the castle's new garden, which also offers a beautiful view of the city.
