Small house in a quiet area of the capital, offers rooms and several apartments equipped

Just a few blocks from the old port, this little green house is ideally situated in a quiet location. What's more, it's not lacking in charm: wooden floors, a small number of rooms and several fully-equipped apartments; some rooms have private bathrooms and WCs, while others have to be shared. The welcome is charming, and Jon loves a chat, so don't hesitate! The guesthouse is often photographed, as its facade does not leave tourists indifferent... It's adorned with a butterfly with pinkish and reddish reflections on a green background, a little marvel.

Stayed here for 2 nights on a busy week in August. Evens so, room was very overpriced. No breakfast, annoying inconvenience to have to remove shoes at entrance - cannot wear shoes in your room. Room had an awkward layout with very small bathroom. Very nice host though.

Very nice expirience. We had a one week long stay in july there and the place was always clean, tnx to the care of the owner Jon that is also a lovelly and very cool person (he leaves always fruit, milk, coffe for the guests in the kitchen. Furthermore the house is in the city, very close to the main street of the city just e lovelly wolk until the cattidral, and a few steps from the dock where starts hte whale watching tour. 100% my base in Reykjavik in my next trip in Iceland ????

Butterfly Guest House was the perfect choice for our first stay in Reykjavik! Our host, Jon welcomed us at the door and was extremely warm and congenial throughout our stay. We stayed in one of the apartments which was perfect for all the needs of our stay. Jon had supplied our kitchen with milk and coffee and we had a stove so that we could cook breakfast every day. (This was important because we left early in the am for several tours.)Our apartment had a balcony from which we could see a small slice of the port and we enjoyed eating our breakfast there. Butterfly Guest House is located on a quiet street but is located very closely to tons of restaurants and sights, all easily accessible by walking. Jon passed the real test as a great host when I sprained my ankle while hiking on my last day in Iceland. Jon had me moved from the third floor to a room on the first floor and made sure I was comfortable. I will forever be indebted to him for that! All in all we had a great adventure in Iceland and Butterfly Guest House was a big part of that!
