A sculpture emblematic of the capital and one of the must-see photos in Reykjavik
This sculpture is an emblem of the capital and is one of the must-see photos! The Sun Traveller, in Icelandic: Sólfar, was created in 1990 by Jón Gunnar Árnason. This metal skeleton evokes a Viking ship, which is heading towards the sun. Very popular with tourists, you have to come early or late to enjoy it without anyone. At night, from this point, you can also see the light from the Imagine Peace tower on Viðey Island.

Par chance, la finesse de ses lignes et l'océan en toile de fond créent une atmosphère féerique et invitent à la contemplation.
