NATIONAL MUSEUM OF ICELAND (THJÓÐMINJASAFN ÍSLANDS)
Interesting and warm museum with a vast collection that illustrates the life and art of the country since the colonization
This museum is as interesting and warm on the inside as it is grey and austere on the outside. On two floors, a vast collection illustrates the life and art of the country from colonization to the 20th century. Along the way, you can let yourself be guided by the free audioguide and try on a Viking costume or visit the reconstruction of a traditional house. There's also a free checkroom where you can leave your coat, much appreciated in winter.

Nous avons fait la visite avec l'audioguide en voulant suivre la numérotation, mais ce fut un peu compliqué. Par moment nous devions passer d'un côté à l'autre de la pièce pour ensuite retourner au même endroit.
