COLOURED STREETS
Quiet streets lined with colorful, new and urban houses in Reykjavik
The hill on the eastern shore of Lake Tjörnin is criss-crossed by quiet streets lined with colourful houses. They are a bit bigger, newer and more urban than on the other side. But small gardens and wooden fences remind us that the countryside is not so far away. From Hallgrímskirkja, you can zigzag down to the lake via Njarðagata, Freyjugata or Bragata. Through Skálholtssigur you will reach the art gallery by passing a beautiful tower house. A nice walk to enjoy the city without the crowds.
