BATTLE OF TILLY MUSEUM
A century chapel housing the battle museum at Tilly-sur-Seulles, located at a strategic crossroads.
A flourishing pre-war village, located at a strategic crossroads, which did not escape the Allies and occupying troops who fought bitterly there in the summer of 1944. The village, the scene of a bloody battle, was taken and retaken 23 times in 10 days before its final liberation. Almost wiped off the map, the village, which lost almost a tenth of its population, was rebuilt, as was its 13th century chapel, which houses this museum which is well worth a visit. A rich and poignant testimony.
