With the exception of a grassy area next to the Information Center, which is open to campers all year round, the other sites near the lake (Vatnskot) or close to the center (Leirar) are closed in the off-season. You'll love the wilderness setting and the stunning views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Facilities include toilets, showers and picnic tables. Payment is at the Information Center. If you arrive too late in the evening, you can pay for your stay with the ranger the following day.

Au camping partenaire plus haut, il y a de l'eau pour le camping-car.
Le prix est très honnête, à côté il y a un petit bar tenu par les rangers qui est un peu cher.
C'est bien de s'arrêter pour la nuit au cas où vous voudriez faire du trekking dans le parc.
Ce n'est pas un vrai camping, mais plutôt une aire de repos équipée.
Personne n'est venu demander quoi que ce soit, de mon plein gré je suis allé le lendemain matin payer au bar.
A proximité, à 10h tous les matins, une marche d'une heure avec les rangers commence pour voir les endroits les plus importants. Gratuit.
