The famous tectonic fault of Iceland, a few kilometers long, constituting one of the major attractions of the place

Only in Iceland can you be on two continents at the same time! The most important and famous tectonic fault of this site reminds us that Iceland is located at the junction of the Eurasian and North American plates. It is 7.7 km long and is one of the major attractions of the place. We recommend climbing to the top of the Almannagjá Fault, from where you can enjoy a panorama of amazing contrasts. From here you can walk to the Öxará River and the Öxarárfoss waterfall.
