This refuge with a good capacity of reception, has a well arranged kitchen

This very popular refuge is unfortunately not often available despite a good capacity, as many groups have to book in advance. You should therefore do the same if you are travelling individually. There is a well equipped kitchen. The toilets and washbasins are outside. The campsite next door is on hard and crumbly ground, so it is necessary to secure the tent with stones to prevent it from being blown away by the strong wind. It is requested that the stones be put back in their place after use.

Le seul refuge possible à Landmanalaugar, un lieu magnifique, avec ses montagnes colorées. Mais le refuge est bondé. Il faut réserver plusieurs mois à l' avance pour coucher sur un matelas de 80 cm de large bordé par les voisins de chambrée. Pas de prise de courant dans le refuge. Pour recharger vos appareils, c'est à la réception, au prix de 7,50 euros par recharge. Les sanitaires et les toilettes sont dans un bâtiment situé hors du refuge et l' eau chaude est payante La cuisine est bien aménagée mais pas assez grande pour un refuge plein à craquer. Et le prix est disproportionné.
Mais voilà: on sort, on randonne et on est émerveillé...Et ce refuge est le seul hébergement possible en dehors du camping.

Refuge idéalement situé pour de très belles randonnées, belle cuisine. Sanitaires à l'extérieur et camping toujours bondé. Possible baignade aménagée dans le ruisseau.
