The Systrastapi or the rock of the nuns, located in the south-west, endowed with a luxuriant vegetation, an emblematic place
To the southwest, Systrastapi, the "Rock of the Good Sisters", marks the site where two nuns who were condemned and burned alive at the stake for "licentious conduct" were buried. One of the two was condemned for having sold her soul to the devil. The other, accused of having made impious remarks about the pope, was rehabilitated after the Reformation. Following this rehabilitation, the tomb of the latter was covered with luxuriant vegetation, while the tomb of the former remained barren... A place as emblematic as it is magical.
