Our huts were small, which we were expecting and they each had two beds and a kettle to boil water. There is also a heater in each, which are only hot at the top and the middle and bottom of the heaters were ice cold.
The huts in general were not insulated well enough, as there was wind blowing through the room (windows and door closed). When it rained there was water leaking into one of our huts which caused some of our lighter colored clothes to stain (it was never mentioned that this could happen). The huts themselves were freezing inside and even with the heater on high they were cold and we had to sleep in 3-4 layers of clothes and completely under the blanket to keep warm (again this is a personal experience and if you don’t mind this then that’s okay too).
The had a shared „kitchen“ which was a tent with a few stoves and seats. It blew through there quite cold as well and was hard to enjoy for us. The bathroom facilities were the only place to really warm up and had showers and toilettes which filled their purpose.
The staff were friendly and location is great and close to the Myvatn thermal baths.
It was quite expensive compared to some of the other stays we had and not worth the price in my opinion.
Belle vue et petit déjeuner correct.
La colazione è stata ottima, molta scelta.
